Beneficial ownership registration is a separate step from forming your company with the CRO. Use this guide to prepare your questions and information before applying.
Identify beneficial owners
Work out who ultimately owns or controls the company, including indirect ownership and control. Keep an internal beneficial ownership register and seek advice where the ownership structure is complex.
Separate register, separate obligation
Incorporation details are not a substitute for filing with the Register of Beneficial Ownership. Newly incorporated relevant entities normally have five months from incorporation to submit their beneficial ownership information.
What our packages cover
Premium and Non-Resident include RBO registration. The other packages do not list it as included. Identity verification may involve a separate process for a beneficial owner without an Irish PPSN.
Keep the information current
Changes in ownership and control can trigger update duties. Avoid sending PPSNs, identity documents or sensitive ownership records through our public contact form; the team will explain a suitable collection method.
