CRO incorporation and Revenue registration are separate steps. Plan both before you start trading. Use this guide to prepare your questions and information before applying.
Start with the activity
The taxes your company must register for depend on its activity and circumstances. Corporation Tax, VAT and employer PAYE each have their own requirements. Registration should be planned with an accountant.
VAT is not automatic
A newly incorporated company is not automatically VAT registered. Thresholds, cross-border supplies and voluntary registration rules can affect the decision. Use current Revenue guidance rather than assuming every company needs the same registrations.
Employer obligations
If the company will pay employees, employer PAYE registration and payroll obligations need attention. Having a director does not by itself resolve the treatment of payments made to them.
Our tax registration service
The separate tax registration support service is €440.00. Ask the team to confirm the scope for your company. It is not ongoing bookkeeping, accounts preparation or a guarantee that a registration will be approved.
